Park once near the bar cluster you want, then walk. For an Old City night, the Historic Downtown Parking Facility beside the Visitor Information Center is the most dependable place to start when street spaces are already disappearing.
Pick the bar cluster before you drive
The City Gate puts Ann O'Malley's and Barley Republic nearby. Central St. George Street works for the Milltop and Prohibition Kitchen. The bayfront puts Tini Martini and Meehan's close together.
Use the garage when certainty matters
The city garage at 1 Cordova Street has about 1,200 spaces and stays open all day. The published rate is $20 per entry from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and $5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Special events and holidays can change that.
Use city meters and lots for a shorter stop
City spaces are currently $2.50 an hour with a four-hour limit. Look for the city crest or ParkStAug logo. A private lot can set a different rate even when it sits beside a city space.
Choose the exit before the late crowd
Leaving the Old City is easier when the car is on the side of downtown that points toward home. A short walk at the start can save a slow loop through King Street at the end.

Check the city before a festival night
The City of St. Augustine publishes the current street and lot parking rules plus the garage rates and hours. Check those pages when a holiday, festival, or downtown event could change the normal plan.
Rates and rules were checked on September 30, 2026. The city can change event prices, limits, and access.
